Job Description

We are looking for an AR Specialist to join the Accounting Team. The AR Specialist supports the AR Manager in carrying out the responsibilities of the Finance/Accounting Department including payroll, accounts payable, general ledger, account reconciliation, accounts receivable.

Duties Include:

  • Manage AR. Includes research and/or analysis of facility contracts, monitoring of delinquent accounts, preparing/reviewing/maintaining aged receivables. Periodically evaluate the Standard Operating Procedure to ensure overall efficiency and effectiveness of AR processes.
  • Assist in monthly closing of financial records and posting of month end information; ensure accuracy of financial statements.
  • Prepare and analyze account reconciliations.
  • Prepare correspondence as needed within the department or to Travelers and Customers.
  • Prepare and post journal entries.
  • Assist AR Manager in developing, implementing and maintaining systems, procedures and policies, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and reconciliation functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines.
  • Responsible for the function of recording and posting cash receipt entries.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent. Two years Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and/or Payroll background and experience and/or training required. Knowledge and practical experience regarding basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Good Planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to work independently and make decisions in accordance with established policies and regulations.
