Job Description

The Clinical Liaison is responsible for aiding in the hiring of Travelers that meet TNAA experience and skill requirements This position will work with internal departments and the Traveler to support the Travelers success during each assignment.

Duties Include:

  1. Review applications for applicants who have less than 2 years RN experience
  2. Conduct pre-offer interviews for first time Travelers or Travelers who have had more than two unsuccessful interviews as requested by recruiters.
  3. Prepare first time Travelers for orientations and success at facility to include:
    1. Conduct specific TNAA orientation to ensure Traveler understands TNAA structure and function.
    2. Provide specific department emergency contacts.
    3. Chain of command if something should arise.
    4. Assist Traveler in understand the facilities’ clinical and ethical expectations.
  4. Collaborate with Client Services to gather facility and unit specific information to ensure submission of qualified candidates.
  5. Mediate between Traveler, Account Manager, and/or facility to resolve any performance issues to include behavioral or clinical.
    1. Implement Performance Improvement Plan or alternate performance improvement steps to ensure issues are resolved and reduce risk of recurrence.
  6. Review end of assignment evaluations from facilities and counsel Travelers on negative comments or “below average” scores.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) from a four-year college or university. Minimum 5 years nursing experience in an acute care hospital required. Multiple specialty areas or float pool experience preferred.
