About Scott
Scott Wissing has been recruiting travel nurses since 2022, building connections with nurses from all walks of life. Before he entered the recruiting field, Scott worked as a PE teacher, varsity basketball and tennis coach, and even dabbled in freelance web design. His diverse background reflects what he brings to his role: adaptability, energy, and a genuine interest in people’s stories.
For Scott, recruitment is about building trust, getting to know what drives each nurse, and helping them find assignments that align with their goals and passions. He loves learning why travelers hit the road and what they’re hoping to find along the way. With deep respect for the profession, he considers it a privilege to play a small part in their journey.
That appreciation for nursing is rooted in personal experience. Scott’s wife, Laura, started her career in a burn unit and is now a gastroenterology nurse practitioner. His sister-in-law is a heli-vac nurse, and many other family members work in the field. But it truly began back in high school, when his mom was diagnosed with liver cancer and the oncology nurses who cared for her became part of their extended family. Scott knows exactly what kind of impact nurses make in the world.
Scott lives in Omaha, Nebraska (Go Big Red!) with Laura and their two boys, Kai and Roman. Most days include driveway basketball, backyard wiffle ball, or a hangout with the 18 kids in their cul-de-sac crew. There’s never a dull moment—and that’s just how he likes it.
