At TNAA, we have the privilege of working with some of the most exceptional professionals in healthcare: travel nurses. Travel nurses hold a special place in the healthcare landscape. They are the adventurers, the trailblazers, and the compassionate healthcare professionals who answer the call to care for patients across the country. Their adaptability, resilience, and unwavering commitment to their profession go beyond the bedside as they provide exceptional patient care, empathy, and compassion to their patients.
It’s no surprise, then, when a TNAA travel nurse receives The DAISY Award. The DAISY Award was created to recognize and show appreciation for nurses and their dedication to their profession and patients.
About the DAISY Award
The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses was established in 2001 by the DAISY Foundation to honor the compassion, skill, and dedication that nurses demonstrate daily. The DAISY Foundation began in 2000 by the family of J. Patrick Barnes, who sadly passed away at a young age due to complications from Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP). The foundation aims to express gratitude to nurses across the nation.
Nurses eligible for The DAISY Award include licensed, registered nurses, nursing faculty, or nursing students. Nominations come from various sources: patients, families, fellow nurses, physicians, clinicians, or staff who witness or experience the exceptional care provided by a nurse.

TNAA partnered with the DAISY Foundation in 2018. Our clinical team sought out this program because, as a company, we wanted to do more to recognize our nurses and the meaningful work they do.
