About Aaron
Professional Background:
Been a travel nurse recruiter for 6 years now.
What Do You Love—or Get Most Excited About—In Recruitment?
My favorite part is getting to know my travelers personally and basically becoming friends while working on where they want to go for their travel assignments.
What Does the Nursing/Allied Industry Mean to You?
Nursing is the bedrock of the medical field. Having had numerous surgeries and two deliveries with my wife – having direct experiences; and then also indirect experiences from just hearing stories from my travelers – I just have the utmost respect and appreciation for our nurses and what they do day in and day out.
Nurse Appreciation Stories and Special Shout-Outs:
My wife had an L&D nurse who completely blew me/us away with her treatment and care of my wife during her 30 hours+ delivery. We had her twice before delivery, and then fate would have it that we would have her again post-delivery when my wife was readmitted. I can’t talk enough about her – I even wrote a very extensive Daisy Award recognition submission during our stay. Fate would strike again, as we would have that same nurse for our second child’s birth, and she was able to find out that she had won the Daisy Award from that. She’s a very, very special nurse who we adore immensely.
Personal Background:
I live in Denver with my wife and 2 kiddos. Both are very, very young. We love being outdoors as much as we can – camping, hiking, skiing, biking, etc. Die-hard sports family as well!
