About Lake

Professional Background:

I’m Lake Kelley, a Healthcare Recruiter who’s truly passionate about making travel nursing easier, smoother, and more enjoyable. I’ve seen firsthand how much nurses give, and that’s why I show up every day—to support you and help you get the experience you truly deserve.

What Do You Love—or Get Most Excited About—In Recruitment?

What excites me most about recruitment is the relationships and the ripple effect of getting the right assignment at the right time. I love helping travelers secure opportunities where they don’t just work—but truly thrive. Seeing nurses extend multiple times because they’ve found the right hospital, the right city, and meaningful experiences outside of work is incredibly rewarding.

Do You Have Any Personal Connections to Nursing or Allied Health?

While I do not have a clinical background myself, healthcare has been a consistent part of my personal and professional journey. I attended Emory University as a Philosophy and pre-med student, where my interest in science, healthcare, and leadership began. Afterward, I built my career in leadership, marketing, and advertising, working closely with physicians and attorneys in Atlanta.

What Does the Nursing/Allied Industry Mean to You?

Nursing, to me, represents true heroism. As a child, I experienced a burst appendix, and I still remember how the nurses not only cared for me but also steadied my mother during a frightening time. More recently, I survived pre‑eclampsia and coded during childbirth. Throughout that experience, my ICU, Labor & Delivery, Postpartum nurses, and Physical Therapists were remarkable—caring for both my son and me with exceptional skill, compassion, and constant presence.

Nurse Appreciation Stories and Special Shout-Outs

I’d love to give a huge shout‑out to all the incredible nurses I’ve had the privilege of working with over the past four years—I appreciate you more than you know. 💙
Today, I’m especially excited to recognize the newest addition to my crew, Jessica Davis, CVICU RN! From the start, Jessica was very clear about what she needed, and by truly listening, I helped her secure her first TNAA + TotalMed assignment.
Her energy and enthusiasm perfectly align with mine, and being fellow Southerners, we shared more than a few “yes ma’ams” along the way—with zero offense taken on either side. 😊 Jessica is incredibly kind, a joy to work with, and she even left me a 5‑star review along with a referral to another amazing CVICU nurse (which is the highest compliment).
Jessica said it best:

“Lake went to bat for me, and we negotiated a great contract! I’m so excited to work with you guys!”

Moments like these are exactly why I love what I do. Welcome to the crew, Jessica—I’m so glad you’re here!
