About Leah
Professional Background:
I have nearly 20 years of experience in Recruiting and Sales, and I’ve been fortunate to understand the process from the ground up. With years in Healthcare Recruiting, I’m able to combine my passion for helping others with my commitment to advocating for each person I work with. I genuinely enjoy getting to know people beyond their résumés—discovering who they are and what drives them. Whether someone is a seasoned traveler or stepping into their first assignment, I’m always excited to help them find the perfect fit.
If I could use ONE word to describe me, I would say persistent- but in all the right ways. I try my best to go the distance for my nurse to make sure they feel advocated for!
What Do You Love—or Get Most Excited About—In Recruitment?
Honestly—the nurses! I love getting the chance to meet someone new, understand what they’re looking for, learn how I can support them, and then build a relationship that goes far beyond just the job. I get excited helping someone secure their next contract, but the best part is seeing a nurse genuinely excited to start their first—or next—assignment and feeling truly valued and appreciated. That moment makes everything worth it.
Do You Have Any Personal Connections to Nursing or Allied Health?
Yes, I have strong personal connections in the nursing community. Over ten of my family members and close friends work or have worked as RNs across bedside care, management, home health, and hospice. Their experiences give me valuable insight into the challenges clinicians face, allowing me to better relate to and support the nurses I work with.
What Does the Nursing/Allied Industry Mean to You?
To me, the nursing and allied health industry is the foundation of our healthcare system—driven by compassion, clinical expertise, and meaningful human connection. These professionals deliver exceptional care while supporting patients and families through critical moments.
Nurse Appreciation Stories and Special Shout-Outs:
I don’t know if I could ever choose just one. Over the years, my nurses and I have built relationships that go far beyond what we do within the agency or hospital. Some have become true friends—people I’ve traveled with, laughed with, and stayed connected to outside of work. I genuinely enjoy calling them my friends, and I could honestly name more than one person I have an amazing story or heartfelt appreciation for. Each of them has made a lasting impact on my life in their own unique way.
Personal Background:
Outside of work, I’m a devoted wife and mom of five. I embrace the adventure and joy of life, often out and about with my family and two Dobermans. I love a great meal paired with an even better movie or getting lost in a good book. I enjoy making memories with family and friends and never turn down an opportunity to travel.
