About Shanda

Professional Background:

My background is rooted in business consulting and working one-on-one with people to help them navigate challenges, make clear decisions, and move forward with confidence. I bring that same approach into nurse recruitment by listening first, understanding what matters most to you, and helping you find opportunities that actually fit your life.

What Do You Love—or Get Most Excited About—In Recruitment?

I don’t just look at placements, I look at people’s lives. I help nurses create a life they actually want to live, build stability for themselves and their families, and think about the legacy they are creating through their work. Sometimes that means helping you reconnect with why you became a nurse in the first place. Other times, it means showing you the different ways you can use your license to build a life that fits who you are now.

Do You Have Any Personal Connections to Nursing or Allied Health?

Nursing is personal to me. I have close friends who are nurses, and my daughter was originally studying engineering before choosing to switch her college major to nursing after seeing a family member go through a serious health challenge. She realized she was more interested in helping people engineer their health and lives. That shift really deepened my respect for this profession and the people who choose it.

What Does the Nursing/Allied Industry Mean to You?

Watching my daughter make that intentional decision about her career switch to nursing, along with the conversations I have with nurses in my life, has given me a real appreciation for what this career demands. Nursing is not something people fall into; it is something they choose with purpose. That perspective shapes how I support and advocate for the nurses I work with.
